A True National Treasure

Two ancestral homes transformed into ice cream parlors by owners passionate about preserving Quebec’s heritage and bringing joy to sweet lovers.

La Maison Bleue

in l’Anse-à-Beaufils, built in 1942 by Alfred-François Caron, Chantal’s great-grandfather, to house his wife’s fabric-selling business.

La Grange Rouge

in Percé, built in 1872 by John Le Boutillier, a native of Jersey Island and Chantal’s ancestor.

Aux Glaces de L’Anse was founded based on the shared vision of Chantal Otis & Michel Guay, who returned to the Gaspé Peninsula to open ice cream parlors in ancestral homes, which became authentic landmarks of this region.

That’s how the two ice cream parlors were established in 2015, after Chantal trained as an artisan ice-cream maker with Roland Del Monte, “Best Craftsman of France”.

Two passionate and dynamic owners

Make the most of your summer in the sunshine, indulging in some of Quebec’s finest ice cream and sorbets in the Gaspé Peninsula.

Chantal, “the Artist”

The craftsmanship Chantal has gained and refined over the years shines through her creations of premium ice cream and sorbets in a variety of flavors, made with carefully selected ingredients, natural flavors, real cream and no artificial colors

Michel, “the Star”

Michel oversees the service at both ice cream parlors and handles reservations for the six highly comfortable rooms at La Maison Rouge, which is fully booked all summer. He caters to tourists and locals in search of a little slice of paradise and ice cream that tastes like heaven.
